Papajess FAQ - Complete Customer Guide

1. What are your products made from?

Our products fall into two categories:

3D Printed Items (keychains, figurines, countdown displays, decorative pieces):

  • Made from high-quality PLA plastic filament

  • PLA is a biodegradable, plant-based material that's safe and durable

  • Each piece is printed layer by layer for precise detail

  • Finished products are solid, lightweight, and built to last

Wooden Plaques:

  • Crafted from real wood

  • Each plaque has unique natural grain patterns

  • Designed and finished by hand and a CNC for a rustic, authentic look

All items are handcrafted in small batches, so slight variations make each piece one-of-a-kind.

2. How long will it take to receive my order?

Processing Time: 1-3 business days

  • Most items are ready to ship and leave our workshop within 1 day

  • During holiday seasons (especially November-December), processing may take up to 2 business days

Shipping Time: 2-5 business days (standard USPS)

  • Total delivery time is typically 3-7 business days from order date

  • You'll receive a tracking number via email once your order ships

Need it faster? Contact us before ordering if you have a specific deadline. We'll do our best to accommodate rush requests when possible.

3. Can I return or exchange my item?

Standard Items (non-customized products):

  • Returns accepted within 14 days of delivery

  • Item must be unused, undamaged, and in original condition

  • Customer pays return shipping

  • Refund issued once we receive and inspect the item

Custom or Personalized Items:

  • All custom orders are final sale

  • We cannot accept returns on personalized plaques or special requests

  • Please double-check spelling and details before ordering

Damaged or Defective Items:

  • Contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos

  • We'll replace damaged items at no cost to you

  • We cover return shipping for defective products

4. Are your 3D printed items fragile? How should I care for them?

Our 3D printed products are surprisingly durable, but they're not indestructible.

Durability:

  • Strong enough for everyday handling and display

  • Keychains hold up well to normal use on key rings

  • Figurines some are solid (are layered like a beehive) for added strength

  • Avoid dropping on hard surfaces from heights

Care Instructions:

  • Dust with a soft, dry cloth

  • If needed, wipe gently with a slightly damp cloth

  • Do not submerge in water or put in dishwasher

  • Keep away from high heat (above 120°F) - PLA can soften

  • Avoid leaving in hot cars or direct sunlight for extended periods

For Kids:

  • Safe for children 3+ (small parts may be a choking hazard for younger kids)

  • Supervise young children with figurines that have delicate features

5. Do you offer custom designs or personalization?

Wooden Plaques: Yes!

  • We can customize text, names, dates, or phrases

  • Contact us before ordering to discuss your idea

  • Custom plaques typically add 2-3 days to processing time

  • Small additional fee may apply depending on complexity

3D Printed Items: Limited customization

  • We primarily offer our existing designs

  • Color requests may be possible (depending on filament availability)

  • Custom 3D designs are not currently available

How to Request:

  • Email us with your idea before placing an order

  • Include details about size, text, colors, and any reference images

  • We'll confirm if we can accommodate your request and provide pricing

6. What if my item arrives damaged?

We pack every order carefully, but sometimes shipping carriers are rough.

If your item arrives damaged:

  1. Take clear photos of the damage AND the packaging

  2. Email us within 48 hours of delivery

  3. Include your order number and photos

  4. We'll send a replacement immediately (no need to return the damaged item)

If your package is lost:

  • Contact us after 10 business days if tracking shows no movement

  • We'll file a claim with USPS and send a replacement

We stand behind our products 100%. If something goes wrong, we'll make it right.

7. Why doesn't the Christmas Countdown Display open? Is it broken?

Great question! This is not a functional advent calendar.

What it is:

  • A decorative display piece for counting down to Christmas

  • Features numbers 1-25, Santa on top, and festive design

  • Meant to be displayed on a shelf, mantel, or table

  • Reusable year after year

What it's NOT:

  • The numbered sections are blocks that pull out but do not open

  • There are no drawers or compartments for treats

  • It's a visual countdown, not a storage calendar

Think of it as holiday décor that helps build excitement for Christmas Day. You can place it next to your own advent calendar or use it as a standalone decoration.

8. Can I order in bulk for events, parties, or corporate gifts?

Yes! We love bulk orders.

Bulk Pricing:

  • Orders of 10+ items may qualify for a discount

  • Contact us with the item(s) you want and quantity

  • We'll provide a custom quote

Lead Time:

  • Bulk orders typically need 1-2 weeks

  • Holiday season orders may require more time

  • The earlier you order, the better

Perfect for:

  • Classroom or teacher gifts

  • Fundraising events

9. What if I need to change or cancel my order?

Before it ships:

  • Contact us ASAP (within 24 hours is best)

  • If we haven't started production, we can modify or cancel

  • Once printed or packaged, we cannot make changes

After it ships:

  • Orders cannot be changed once in transit

  • You can refuse delivery and contact us for a refund (minus shipping costs)

  • Or follow our standard return process once delivered

Pro tip: Double-check your shipping address and order details before completing checkout. Most issues happen because of typos in addresses.

10. Do your products make good gifts? How do I know what to choose?

Absolutely! Our products are designed with gift-giving in mind.
